I must say, I have learned a thing or two about doing things lying down. Just to illustrate, I learned my first day back on solid foods that eating a bagel from your chest is a BAD idea. Not only did I forget it was there and let it get dried out and crusty, but the crumbs went EVERYWHERE. My mom and I had a good laugh when "an itchy velcro strap on the back of my hospital gown" was really a big, dried crumb from my bagel!
I finally figured out, too, that turning on your side and lowering the bedside table to eat meals is much easier than bringing the table over you while you're on your back and trying to manage a dinner tray higher than your line of sight. So, if any of you are ever restricted to bed rest, be sure to consult me for further advice--I'm becoming a professional at things I never knew I didn't know.
I'm also feeling very grateful for my mother, who has been the most remarkable nurse I ever could have asked for. Between changing my bed pan, giving me a bed bath, and getting up at all hours of the night while the nurses came in and out to monitor things, I've really been humbled by her selfless service and love for me. We had some good laughs and I am sure we will both remember this time forever.
Again, I love you all and have been shocked by the gigantic wave of love and support we seem to be getting from all directions. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers--they are certainly working!

Isn't love amazing? The sacrifices you make and the un-fun things you do to help someone else. Your last post is a beautiful picture of a mother's love. Your mom to you, and you to Brynn...it warms my heart. I do believe in prayer and a God who loves even more than we can express as humans. I know He is going to take care of you and your little one. My thoughts (and prayers!) are with you and your family. Thank you for keeping all of us updated with your posts! I love reading your good news!!!!!

I'm glad to hear things are going well. I love the name Brynn too - excellent choice. We are still praying for all of you!
P.S. Do your mom and Matt need dinners? I owe you a few...
Natalie,
We are so glad that you are doing better. You are such a strong lady. I'm just going to say ditto so what Angela said.
Love,

Matt and Natalie, its Camber Lybbert. I'm so glad to hear things are going well for you and the baby. hopefully she'll hang in there a little longer. Isn't it amazing how becoming a mom wakes you up to how much your mom really did for you. Its when you become a mom that you realise your mom would do anything for you, as you are now doing for your little one. And the love just keeps growing once you see her little body in your arms. Good luck. Our prayers are with you from Utah.
Wow! You have been through so much so fast. You guys are in our prayers. I'm so glad to hear that you are surrounded by wonderful, caring people. That can make all the difference in situations like this. Hang in there! Love, Steve and Erica Dryden and Family
Your so positive! I have always loved that about you. I'm glad to hear that things are getting better!
Hang in there! All the pain and struggles are somehow completely worth it. We will be praying for you. I love the name you picked. Oh, and despite the obvious frustrations of being bedridden, try to enjoy it. Read a book or do some crosswords. You might not have much more time for those sort of activites when you have a little one getting into everything!Love your guts!
Hi Natalie,
I just found your blog and read about your complications. I hope everything goes well. I'll be thinking of you!

Hi Natalie,
I'm so thrilled with all the good news! I love your optimisitic outlook and I, too, believe that all will go well. I love the name Brynn!! It's beautiful. I'm actually going to print out your blog and read appropriate sections of it to the girls today in YW, just so they can hear the encouraging news in your own words and so they'll know that you are doing well. They love you so much...we all do. Keep blogging and know our prayers are with you constantly. Love you, Susan
