Well, Brynn graduated from the vent for the second time, and was able to end her three day fast. I shamelessly took advantage of her feeling famished by making her eat all 10 CCs by bottle. Granted, 10 CCs isn't much--her regular feeding is 50 CCs--but I can still brag that this is the second feeding she's ever taken entirely by mouth, right?
All in all, she's doing really well. If it weren't for two IVs, some lingering puffiness, and a very hoarse voice, I wouldn't even know we almost lost her a few days ago. Her cheeks are pink, her energy is back, and her life seems a more tolerable to her again.
Thanks again for all your prayers. They were much needed and obviously heeded. Considering how bad this could have been, she really escaped without a scratch (okay, she had a TON of pokes, but still no scratches).

I'm so glad she's bouncing back quickly. Its so scary not knowing what's wrong with your little baby and they can't even tell you! Hopefully you'll be on the other side of all this quickly with her home and growing well. And off the NG tube.
She is such a good fighter! I can't wait for her to be able to come home with you!! I'm happy she is doing better - I love all of your updates!
Natalie, I'm thrilled by Brynn's progress these last few days. I've been anxiously awaiting news and am so glad she's getting back to her old self and improving. I can't imagine how hard it is to live this roller coaster, and I'm so thankful you have such a community of family and friends with you. Take care of yourself in the midst of all this, okay? I'm sure it's hard to even notice what you need, but Brynn will be coming home soon and need a mommy who's rested and fed and raring to go. So please take care of yourself, too. Hang in there, friend. May God continue to carry you through this.
Oh, I'm so glad to hear she's doing better!!! I can't even imagine what this past week must have been like for you guys.
