Maybe most people don't rejoice to be on bed rest; but let me tell ya--I LOVE IT. I went to sleep smiling last night because of all these wonderful things:
-- No more IV
-- I have not needed meds for contractions for 3 days now.
-- My contractions have been so well behaved and the baby has had such a strong, steady heart beat that I am only hooked up to a monitor twice a day for an hour. That means no nurses doing vitals in the middle of the night, no monitors to accidentally knock out of place when I make the slightest move, and no chords/straps/tubes to keep out of the toilet when I sit down!
-- I am not bored at all! In fact, I've had such a backlog of computer work and phone calls I've needed to make that I'm feeling quite productive and busy.
-- I am able to take time to do girlie stuff that I would NEVER do otherwise (thanks, Rosie for the pink toe polish and stickers!):
-- I can wear my own clothes now instead of those sexy backless gowns--which means when friends come to visit, we can be a colorful bunch (thanks, Lori and Rosie for the visit--and the treats!):
-- Okay, so she has a bug bite, a scratch on her nose, and very messy hair--but who wouldn't love getting see this face every day on bed rest?
--My belly is the biggest it's ever been and with any luck will continue to get bigger (excuse the no make-up day):
--I have the comfort of knowing Brynn is in good hands while I'm not available--thanks to Auntie Heather:
So overall, what do I have to complain about? Bed rest isn't bad at all. And I'm convinced that anyone who'd been in the NICU for four months would agree!
SO Happy to still be pregnant,

I'm glad to hear things are going well and that baby is staying inside. Up here in the NICU we are thinking about you!
Audrey! I'm so happy hear from you--who I will always remember as the first nurse to let me change Brynn's poopy bum :) How are you?
When you didn't post yesterday I got a little worried and said an extra prayer! :D I'm so happy to see that you're still hanging out on bed rest, NOT in the NICU! And those pictures are just adorable.
bleh - my hair looks so gross since I didn't shower and was on my way to the pool, but since I have relatively few pictures of us together, I guess I'll let it slide. I'll see what I can do about getting you some more "treats." As long as you stay on bed rest, I'll keep trying to bring you some (how's that for good motivation to stay pregnant). :-)
The Girl--I got flack from other people for not posting, too. I guess I better stay on top of it lest people worry needlessly!
Lori--you know I'll never say no to your awesome fruit leather! Sorry about posting a photo you don't like, but I felt mean cropping out "the girl with ugly hair" :) I think you're beautiful!
Nat! So glad for another happy week of pregnancy. You are amazing & Brynn is so darn adorable! It would be so fun to have her & my Brinnley get to play together some day. I'd love it.
Horray! I bought Greyson 11 days on bedrest. It was totally worth it!
Hope you get WAY more than 11 days! Come on 9 weeks!!!
You look beautiful by the way and so does Brynn!
(And I agree - you have to post daily so we all know that you still have the baby baking!)
I'm glad you're doing well, Natalie! You're in our prayers!
:) So happy for you and your happiness. Brynn is adorable! Love your preggo belly.
Yeah!!!
YAY YAY YAY!!! That's all I have to say.
You look precious, Natalie! Love your picture with Lori and Aliya!
So sweet!
I'm good! I'm off work this week so I have been checking your blog on a regular basis to make sure everything is going well. I love that I was the first nurse to let you change Brynn's poopy bum! I didn't remember that.
If you still are at OPR would you be up for a visit next week?
Audrey--I'd love to see you! Just let me know when you think you might stop by and I'll make sure I'm still in the hospital :)
