Why We Love Our Other Normal

Matt worries that someday Brynn will think we love her less or enjoyed her less because she had such a rough start to life. Just in case that happens, I thought I'd assuage any fears up front.

Just take note of this seemingly every-day experience:


To Brynn: if we didn't have you, we never would have experienced the kind of ecstatic joy we felt when YOU put food in your OWN mouth for the first time! The fact that this is an enormous milestone is precisely because you are who you are. The fact that this milestone came the very same day we brought Heidi home from the hospital made our day even that much more joyful.



Way to go, Brynn! Thanks for teaching Mommy and Daddy that every little "normal" thing is worth celebrating!
