To my girls: I savored two firsts--Brynn's first haircut and Heidi's first solids!
Brynn, your "before" hair was bad. Pictures didn't do it justice. You refuse to wear bows and even pull out ponytails with tight rubber bands. You have double cowlicks, which means ALL the hair on the top of your head comes forward, mo-hawk style, into your eyes. As for the back? The best description I can think of is an "n" shaped mullet--mullet because the hair on the sides of your head doesn't grow like the top and back, and "n" shaped because you still lull yourself to sleep by rubbing off semi-bald spot in the back of your head. It wasn't pretty. Although I've been threatening to cut it for months, I couldn't bring myself to do it. Now I'm glad I did. Look how adorable you are?
Heidi, I actually didn't savor your first solids at all. Instead of rice cereal, it felt like you were eating my heart out. Why do you have to grow up so fast???
Dear Mr H: today I cleaned the WHOLE house and did your laundry so that I wouldn't feel like I was a frazzled mess when you came home :)

Hooray for pictures of your cute girls (besides the "Christmas Card" which was also cute). I love the hair cut and hope she was cooperative for you!
